Yes, but he only made the profit by selling a previous managers signings, be interesting to see the return on Rafa’s signings after he walks.

Merino bought for 8.5 + a loan fee sold for 10
Hanley bought for 5.5 sold for 3.5

Others
Gayle, Diame and Richie will hold their value
Hayden would go for a profit

Yedlin only cost £5m and he is a regular starter at Premier League level. I reckon we’d make a profit on him but I agree on the rest.

I was a bit miffed when we didn't pursue him tbh, I thought that he improved a lot whilst here; we signed that other knacker from Spain instead, I can't even remember his name, but he was shite and had a ridiculous buy after so many games clause.

I am sure that I will be shot down with stats but I think that with one or two exceptions at Liverpool his transfer dealings were shocking. Always thought Benitez to be a great organiser but average acquirer of players. Not saying he is a poor manager at all, but his strengths are in player development, team set up and organisation and not in recruitment.

So basically, Rafa’s buys would end up losing the club millions. No wonder the mags want Ashley out.

Relegation release clause apparently. I cant remember him from the world cup but he played most games. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing but Switzerland were solid defensively

Looks like they sell Mbemba for £7m and buy this bloke for £3m

He was highly rated a few year ago when he first broke through but not heard much about him since. I thought he was still playing in Germany tbh.

they didn't ask to be in the championship he took them there :lol: returned them to the top 10 of the PL ah so it's now the 'top'. Is this delusion and cult type blind loyalty an actual illness ? If he goes we go ! Where to ? Are they giving up football for good ? Do they actually think before they speak ?
