There is money but hes not prepared to flash it around on £30-£40 million pound players, he's got us up for sale and can do what he wants as its his club, tbf he's forced Benitez into trying to make average players get better and its developed a good team spirit so in truth i am happy with it, against the opinion of ...

... most our fans who just want to live in a fantasy world.

You've pulled up Sunderland posters for saying that

Apparently they’ve had a loan bid for Rondon knocked back. He’s got a £16m release clause and is out of contract at the end of the season.

Tbf to Ashley - he simply trying to balance the books. As long as the mags stay up, they should be in a healthy position next year

I agree but tbf fans want excitement, hope, business deals is not for fans.We see West Ham /Bournmouth/Watford /Everton spending big to try and improve, no wonder some fans think why dont Newcastle have a go?

Im a fan of try before you buy.imagine paying £16m for this guy, even so its our level.

Ive never been anti Ashley but i also get frustrated as a fan when i see other teams spending big sums on players , some of our fans just dont get it though but in truth we are in decent shape and have a good team spirit, i enjoyed last year and a repeat would be great.

I don’t think many people can truly grasp the cost of running a PL club these days. All people see are transfer fees and that’s it. Add agents fees, wages and signing on fees and it’s astronomical. Distinctly average players are commanding 5m+ per year in wages alone.

and 52000 bums on seats, only brings in about £20 million in season ticket sale's not enough to buy an average player, yet both clubs fans seem to think it should guarantee a winning team.

Gate receipts less than 20% of a clubs income these days. Could play in front of an empty stadium and it wouldn't make much difference

He’s got a year left on his contract, and a sell out clause of £16m.
Why would they accept a £4m loan :)
I honestly think it's propoganda leaked to the papers to try and stir the fans up. It's how he's worked at every club he's been at.

Loan bid for Rondon turned down.

Rondon worth 16 million mitrovich valued at 18 by the mags

Both similar type players both not great goal scorers both good at holding the ball up

Why doesn't Rafa just give mitrovich a chance
