We will be taken over fairly soon

last year Tripp Smith (American billionaire) joined the board he also loaned the club millions which is not repayable until the club changes ownership. He made his money at Blackstone Group, finding buyers for big companies

he has also worked closely with Paul Allen

So I think it's a case of 2+2 = 387

But he will at some stage use his 10% holding to effect a takeover for clients/partners of his

we were linked with Red Bull too - Telegraph says we turned down a 650m bid -
To be honest, with the apparent interest in bringing some American Sports Franchises over here it wouldn't be insane to see Allen buy some if not all of a Premier League club with a big stadium in London.

They do have a few better players on paper. But I don't think man for man they're so far ahead. Also, the squad he's got at Newcastle he's coached for 2 years now.

Agree that if he doesn't get to spend what the squad clearly needs spending, and West Ham can assure him of the moon on a stick, he'll be tempted.
This is why I think he’ll either go this summer or will leave after next season.

Ashley won’t be prepared to spend as much as West Ham you’d think.

Don't worry about speculating .... the answer is zero.

Oh well if Reiver said so then he might as well retire now. Why don't you ask a bookie for odds on him, Dyche, Hughton and Wagner to win a European cup in future and report back with who you get the shortest price on.

If West Ham fans didn’t like sam allardyces style of football I can’t see them being happy with Benitez at all. Emery would be a huge coup for them.

Despite finishing a couple of points behind the mags I think West ham have a better squad. If they can provide a significantly bigger budget then it will be tempting. This is a manager who has spent much of his career winning games, challenging for and winning cups. If West Ham provide a better chance of doing that, you'd be surprised if he didn't take an offer very seriously.

This.
Newcastle heirarchy will need to change their way of operating to keep Benitez around. Don't see it happening. One of the major annoyances for Benitez has been the lack of improvement/modernisation of the training ground and facilities. Looking a bit out of date now they're almost 20 years old.

with that name he'd upset Arsenal only to fuck off to Spurs a few years later! :D:D:D

Ashley's already said that won't be happening.

I don't think Ashley would need to commit to the same or more as West Ham to keep Benitez. He'd just need to commit to ceding the lion's share of control to Benitez. If he wants to spend £4m on a 29yr old 'keeper from Sparta Prague, let him. He knows what he's doing.

Probably a result of the club effectively being up for sale for so long. But it is surprising that imvestment hasnt been made as that adds value.

Which I doubt...

None of them will ever win it.

Up the ammers from me just to see the mags lose their minds about a completely standard thing which happens at every club.
Aye but that’s for normal folk. When you live at the centre of a mass hallucination as they do they are the massivest cushtiest clerb in the universe. No sane manager would ever leave of his own volition.
