If they can get emery I think they will, he’s better than Benitez comfortably.

However I do hope that they get Benitez, just to sit and watch the sheer implosion from that lot. Anyway West Ham’s a bigger club really isn’t it and they’ll have a few quid this summer.

speaking of takeovers, we have been linked with Microsoft founder Paul Allen (richer than Mansour, more than twice as rich as Abramovich) making a move. So who knows if that could be linked

(almost certainly not going to happen but I can dream)
Sounds as likely as the daft Red Bull rumours we had on here.

This

Will be hilarious to see their reaction, I just hope the horses will be kept safe.

Despite finishing a couple of points behind the mags I think West ham have a better squad. If they can provide a significantly bigger budget then it will be tempting. This is a manager who has spent much of his career winning games, challenging for and winning cups. If West Ham provide a better chance of doing that, you'd be surprised if he didn't take an offer very seriously.

We will be taken over fairly soon

last year Tripp Smith (American billionaire) joined the board he also loaned the club millions which is not repayable until the club changes ownership. He made his money at Blackstone Group, finding buyers for big companies

he has also worked closely with Paul Allen

So I think it's a case of 2+2 = 387

But he will at some stage use his 10% holding to effect a takeover for clients/partners of his

we were linked with Red Bull too - Telegraph says we turned down a 650m bid -

He's a manager that has had his fingers burned by shithouse over demanding fans not letting him get on with his job too. Not sure he'll fancy adapting his proven methods to suit the West Ham way

Is that the rule of thumb like? Do you base a managers success on European Cups?

You pretendy Sunderland fans stick out like a sore thumb.:lol:
Also all the other trophies he has won too?? I know some cant admit it but Rafa is a very good manager

I personally can’t see it happening like.

He’s got a good deal at the mags, huge wages and adored by their support. Even if the mags finish 4th bottom next season he’ll be considered a hero.

Bit like Allardyce on here then

I’m not doubting you’d be taken over, but I’d be surprised if it’s him you said.

They do have a few better players on paper. But I don't think man for man they're so far ahead. Also, the squad he's got at Newcastle he's coached for 2 years now.

Agree that if he doesn't get to spend what the squad clearly needs spending, and West Ham can assure him of the moon on a stick, he'll be tempted.
