Rafa won the champions league when he was manager at Liverpool!!!

Nobody said he won it at Chelsea.

When I said he won the champions league you said it was di matteo who won it.
Wtf you on about, I didn't say anything of the sort. You implied that Rafa's track record was impressive because he won the champions league. I suggested RDM should be under consideration because he won it as well. Hope that's simple enough for you to understand

A Mag mate on Facebook has just said that they are awful but he could see "work in progress" with a couple of signings. Believes that a bit of stability and they can attract the real TOP players again.

A couple of others chipped in that they're getting the p*ss taken out of them by teams who can't attract half of their crowds.

So I've offered my opinion, which is as follows:

"What have attendances got to do with anything? Attendances don't guarantee success. Gate money doesn't even pay players wages. High attendance means absolutely nothing. It doesn't mean a team is big. It just means they're well supported. Newcastle will never bring TOP players in again. Those days are gone, I'm afraid, unless you can attract a really crazy billionaire.

It is 90 years since Newcastle last won the league. In those subsequent 90 years, they've finished in the top ten less than 20 times. Their occasional foray into the upper reaches of the premier is a blip but younger fans and the more delusional seem to think that that's where they belong. The truth is, they've spent more years outside of the top league than they have in the top ten during the past 90 years. Sorry if that upsets anyone but it's the truth."

I'll keep you posted on whether they ARE upset by it. ;)
