Racist away fans (again)

If I’m talking about a group of people who are ‘black’ or ‘white’ and refer to them as ‘blacks’ or ‘whites’ then they are all the same as they are black or white.
There’s only an issue if you want to make one.

I must admit you do come across as a bigot. Being highly educated and loving cricket as you do you should read D'Oliveira book by Peter O'Borne. You would find it quite humbling I think.

There was widespread chanting in support Tommy Robinson when we were at Luton that absolutely disgusted me as well. If this right wing/ racist element is going to creep back into football (I appreciate this seems to have been a single bigot) then I’m gonna stop going to be honest, can’t be doing with it.

There were 100s singing the Tommy chant, certainly not a majority. I'd also say singing the Tommy chant isn't as bad as shouting banana at a black player in my opinion.

I do fear this is becoming a Sunderland 'thing'

I think it was more then a few 100, however I have no way of proving this fact.

I think supporting a facist is pretty bad like. Supporting TR is symptomatic of a wider attitude imo. I don’t see how you can justify supporting him, but also have a ‘liberal’ viewpoint of the world.

That Celtic freindly has a lot to answer for imo. It pitted Sunderland fans on the side of TR against Celtic fans and I think the consequences are still being seen.

I can assure you I’m not I just think there’s far worse things in the world than a spot of name calling.
Haven’t read that but have read ‘unforgivable blackness’ the book about the late Great Jack Johnson which is quite harrowing at times but that’s history and 100 year ago.
Times have change for the better but some people still want to cling onto a past that they had no part of.
I feel no remorse whatsoever for what white people may or may not have done long before I even existed.

Another bloke defending racism. Even picked a deliberately ‘cheeky’ username.

Sad

Where did i defend it ?
For the record since you are the second one to allude my username to racism. Or it was you before.
Nig is short for my name Nigel.
Me dad used to call me nidge but i think that name was taken at the time i joined or it wouldn't work ;)
As i kid i spelled it nig.
Sorry to disappoint :p

We should leave the racist bigotry to the Glasgow experts and concentrate in supporting our football team.

All this IRA or Robinson stuff on either side of the arguement should not have any place at SAFC.
