The reason is that it's simply irrelevant. Western Europeans were indeed enslaved by Barbary pirates in brutal ways, but we are not talking about millions of people being transported en masse by governments, creating a diaspora around the world that still (particularly in America, but occasionally in Britain) subjugates and discriminates against people based on skin colour. I’m just pointing out the countless successful black people we have in the world. We’ve even had a black president of the USA.

Nobody is or can dispute that black people have suffered in past (as have whites) but in this day and age there clearly aren’t any barriers to success or certainly not significant ones anyway.
