Before the ODI there were various announcements about racist comments not being tolerated, criminal charges etc. fine with me.
Where we were there were a lot of VERY good natured Indian supporters who repeatedly sang "I'd rather be an Aussie than a P*k".
I won't even type it.
Now, does that constitute two convenings of the racism code?
If English had joined in would we have been hoyed out and/or locked up?
It didn't bother me too much just set me away thinking, is it double standards?
In passing while having a beer in the lunch interval I asked a couple of the local consatabulary for their take on it. They were good crack but their standpoint was basically, leave it, don't get involved.
