Race For Europe

I tried to work it out. Gave up. Think it’s just a case of match by match different scenarios can be ruled out / in & letting some news outlet tell us.
Nick Barnes tried to explain it on Radio Newcastle but got lost half way through then just gave up

It’s one of the reasons I was so gutted about what happened at the end of the game on Sunday. Could’ve been an unbelievable springboard to win the toughest fixture left this season.

Brighton v Chelsea is massive tonight

Are we fancying the draw?
It would be the sensible result like. We’ll struggle to overtake both on gd, so we’ll need to get more points than them. To make up 6 points on Chelsea within 5 matches will be difficult. Think with them in particular, it’ll come down to beating them on the last day if we want to finish above them.

Boring 0-0 tonight, then beat Forest please.

Looking at the points situation with the top of the league it really makes my piss boil when I think of our away game at Bournemouth when Le Fe was clearly pushed in the back for what every pundit said was a clear and obvious penalty ( looked at by VAR ) but not given . Let’s consider a what if , defender sent off , we score the penalty, 3 more points we are right in the mix for Europe.
Frustrating or what !

With this sort of thing it usually evens out in the decisions for and against.
While you are perfectly correct about the le fee push I can think of at least one we got away with in my opinion.
Onien ( once again ) against leeds player from a corner or free kick , he pulled him down blatantly arms around his neck .

Win some you lose some. Life’s more tolerable not sweating specific incidents like that as they always occur.

If we win on Friday, then I will start dreaming. Forest know if they win they could well be safe, it will be a hard game.

Wherever Nottingham Forest are in the league and however they are doing themselves it’ll be a tough game when you are not even at the end of your first season in the Premier League and they are in their fourth. It’s a sobering reminder of how far we are yet to come that they have spent now the same amount of seasons in the Premier league as we did in both League One and the Championship.

We are going to have to play at our very best to beat them. I mean even better than we did against Aston Villa. And that resulted in us losing.

We’ve got to play better than we did against a champions league side away from home than a relegation threatened side at home?

Every match is tough, that’s why we’ve only won twice by more than a goal, but you’re not suggesting Forest are better than Villa? There’s literally not one metric that backs that opinion up

Win on Friday night and we are right back in the mix!

Tough game and everything but its one of them where if we play well we can take the 3 points.

We have shown good resilience so far to bounce back from disappointing results.
