I was drinking tea at work today, watching the first ball of the cricket while sitting at my desk. My Chinese colleagues have no idea what to make of the game, but they sit and watch it with me. I might get myself a cream linen suit for the next test.

I have a pith helmet but it’s a bit tatty and if there are colonials around it just won’t do.

I would suggest either a Panama or Fedora.

Teamed with a walking stick which can be used to bang on things to attract attention.

A silver (hallmarked) topped walking cane,doubles as a sword stick when the blade is unsheathed with a deft wrist twist, and also carry a concealed webley revolver (just in case, gets rough in Tim Hortons at times).
