Protest At The Man United Game

There's a group of fans looking to protest during and after the Man Utd game. Fair play to them, it's about time we made Short and Moyes aware of how we really feel. Forget about the apathy, I know we're physically drained after experiencing a 5 year long relegation battle but let's at least show our frustration and let the board know that we're not just going to take it on the chin and watch on as they completely destroy our wonderful club.

Here are the links if anyone's interested:

Well said mate. Get it done or we are going end up like Coventry city

Ah, the old, go out, pick a manager and negotiate his deal ploy. If I was paid £250k plus a year to sit on the board of directors I'd quite happily put in the time and effort to find a suitable replacement.

They should have a live shortlist of potential managers at all times.

I suspect there is and i suspect if the board thought there was someone who was both available and/or willing to come here who they thought would be better than moyes i suspect that would of happened.

People going to the game planning to protest will simply sing a couple of songs, sit down and watch the game.

Just don't go. Enjoy your weekend

TBH I find the whole 'just don't go' not good enough for me.

I've been going to SAFC games since I was 10 years old and it's been a massively important part of my life for years (as I'm sure is true of many others on here).

If we were going down due to bad luck or just not quite getting the results I would completely stand by the club. But this has been on the wall for 4 years or so now and IMO is the result of absolute negligence. And sorry but SAFC means too much to me just to drop it because of a useless owner and an apparently clueless manager. I would, personally, rather do everything I can to tell the management at SAFC I'm upset and furious with what they're doing than just not turn up. I'm pretty sure I won't be going back next year but so long as I have a ticket I'm going to tell the club exactly what I think of this shower of shite.

I understand others may be so sick of it they just don't want to go but for me apathy is not the solution to this. We need to tell the club exactly what the issues are.

No point in protesting. We have a manager who will do well in championship. He has given lousy cards. NO MORE SACKINGS. NO STUPUD PROTESTS

You are a idiot if you believe this.

Signing 13 players spending what 25-30 mill is been given lousy cards are you serious.

The manager is absolutely inept of positivity and ideas

Perhaps it is, but there are enough people outside of Sunderland who are quick to criticise the place. Personally I love the city and I love the people in it.
Couldn't be chewed on with protesting to be honest Gippy lad but I certainly understand people frustrations as it's going from bad to worse. There'll be people on here twisting about the protest who won't even be there on Sunday!

It's too late for this season, we need to plan for next and that means getting rid of Moyes asap and looking for a replacement that can lead a promotion challenge.

Spot on. People have watched Moyes all season and yet some are still defending him on the basis that:
a. we haven't got the funds to sack him...err Short is a billionaire.
b. we can't do any better  a non-english speaking street mime could do better than Moyes.

I'm sorry gip but it is and I have no problem admitting it my mam is grangetown born and bread and I'm proud of that but Sunderland as a city is light years away from other major cities
There's your problem mate, Sunderland isn't a major city. Stop comparing it to Manchester and Leeds and compare it to other cities of a similar size.

How's that worked out for you?

He'll get even worse cards next season. He's already proved he can't work with a poor hand so how's he going to manage with a totally shit one?

So just get on with it ...... months you've been stamping your feet on here and you've done nothing else.

How dare you call people apathetic, week in week out, when you do absolutely nothing more than anyone else?

Just get on with it man
