Protein Bars

Have a glass of milk. As good as any protein shake

The issue there is that people might use a protein bar to fit in with their daily macronutrient requirements. A glass of milk contains a load of carbs and fats that aren't in a protein bar.

I'd sooner have whey protein with water, for that purpose, though. Easier to get down.
 


Are they any good? I usually scran some choccy on a night as a wee treat, and think replacing me ket with a protein bar might be good. Are they all the same, or are there superior ones? Price isn't too much of an issue

Cant be arsed to trawl the whole thread but Quest bars are lovely and sort your chocolate/sugar fix out. Even nicer after 30 secs in the microwave covered in peanut butter.
 
*stupid question alert*

Am I right in thinking additional protein intake can be done any time of the day and doesn't necessarily have to be done in or around training time?
