*~*~* Preston v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

It looks like they’ve targeted him and Riggy a bit for some rough treatment. Looks like water off a duck’s back for Riggy but Watson, as you say, may have to bulk up a bit

They're definitely trying to be physical in certain areas with Rigg Nd especially Watson. Cirkin has had little space too when on the ball to start things and also using a ball from the left to the back post trying to win it far post against Onien/Cirkin and look for second balls.

Really strange team today, gave him the benefit of doubt, but just can’t understand why all the changes, Isidor has been doing well, why move him out wide, our wingers have been good mostly, just odd.

This, Watson is out of position really. Isidor and Connolly may as well have not been on the pitch.

I don’t know what anyone sees in Isidor that makes them think he can play our wide.

He’s never looked like anything but a centre forward to me, and a good one at that.

Connolly for Mundle should be the change at half time for me.

Could we hook browne and connolly, go 3 at the back with ballard coming in, then switch watson to the left and bring roberts on the right. Fullbacks push up and let the wingers cut inside?

drastic change but I reckon Browne is a major issue in the midfield but I'm struggling to see how to take him out.

Front 3 isn't working in its current form, even tho Watson has had a few moments.

Connolly reminds me of when we used to play with Gelhardt upfront on his own. Unfortunately, the lad just hasn't the height or physical attributes to make it work. Weirdly, Wilson does have those attributes and has proven himself already as a striker, but he's been put out wide, and has barley been in the game.

I'd say take Connolly off for Mundle and put Wilson back upfront.

Cirkin and Isidor haven't gelled.
Dennis hasn't seemed at his best going forward last couple games mind

We haven't matched them in midfield and they are strong both unnatural and defence on their left. We need to go down our left more and get our passing sorted as we are raggy. We are at risk from high balls into the box, as usual.
Our left sides not even been in the game. Yet.
