And that could see a 20 goal season for someone and we can blow most of our budget on a really top draw CF and the rest goes towards depth

I think getting to near 15 should be the aim, with others contributing around the team. This season, so far only 2 strikers have broken 20 goals, one is haaland and the other Igor thiago with 21 and 7 of those are penalties. Next highest is Semenyo with 15. Only 13 players so far have score 10 or more.

I think without strikers being on penalties it will be hard for most to break 20 goals. Last season had 5 with 20 or more but take away pens only Salah scored 20 exactly. 23/24 only haaland scoring exactly 20. Only haaland and kane 22/23, only son in 21/22 and no one in 20/21.

Perhaps Brobbey just isnt a good penalty taker, but if he had scored the 4 we have netted he would have the exact record of mateta for this season and people like him. The wings and someone other than le fee who can create and contribute at that end is so important, but at the moment we just seem so slow in attack. Would be interesting to see a change in formation to have someone up with him

Looked videos of him before he signed and can't see that myself. I hope he gets better but it's a long way for him to go.

He had an average first half game he got injured I'd say shouldn't judge on so little

Yeah im not as obsessed with "20 goal strikers" as other people seem to be. The game has changed

Five strikers in Europe have scored 20 goals this season….. haaland, Kane, mbappe, Thiago for Brentford and Muriqi in Spain

We should be in for one of them

If Brobbey can get 10 next season ( if he is still here ) and you can get your wingers chipping in with 8/10 a season then you don’t need a prolific striker.

Unlikely we’ll get that out of our wingers like our setup is lifting for attackers
 
Pretty much agree with the op but I'd add Reinildo in to the same category as Alderete. I'd keep both but we'll need a lb if Cirkin leaves so I'd like it to be a first choice rather than a back-up.
