Xhaka will make others think Sunderland is a rising place to be. Fully expect a few more high quality players to come.

Last time we all did this I romped it. Miles ahead of everyone else………..which obviously means I’m not gonna try it again

Last season was a total freak though, title race effectively done with months to spare, man united and Tottenham openly chucking league games to focus on Europe. We will stay up IMO. Xhaka is a phenomenal signing and I just hope and pray it goes through.
You could always join in , maybe even tongue in cheek for the giggles. Novel idea I know. You know what - instead of having a glass half empty and full of widdle attitude or a billy big bollocks one... I'm going to enjoy right now and see what happens. Novel idea I know.
So far the signings appear to be positive. I can’t see Xhaka being anything other than a success. He is a quality player. We'll know after six games. Not even the results. though they are important.
But if we get blown away, especially at home, when the excitement is there at the start then it will be one long slog.
Get half a dozen points and it is on.
Thanks for you opinion on what I've decided to do.You could always join in , maybe even tongue in cheek for the giggles. Novel idea I know.
Don't take it so seriously , and don't give a toss about what the deluded world gadgee might post.
Anyhow back to a CL spot this season on the way to European domination within 3 seasons.![]()
Go on give it a go man/woman. Do you reckon we'll get a European spot? Thanks for you opinion on what I've decided to do.![]()
Put £100 on us to be top half at 33/1. Stranger things have happened. I never bet either. Last one was a tender on Kevin Phillips to be top scorer in the prem at 100/1. Won the golden boot.I don't bet, hardly ever. Grand national about once every 10 year.
I've just put 2 bets on. 1 for us to be the top of the relegated teams and 1 to stay up.
I've been supporting the club for 53 years. Make of that what you will.
Me fatha, RIP, always went for Phillips as FGS, and even though he was a poor gambler, hence me not liking betting, I think he turned a profit on those bets.Put £100 on us to be top half at 33/1. Stranger things have happened. I never bet either. Last one was a tender on Kevin Phillips to be top scorer in the prem at 100/1. Won the golden boot.
I think a new CB is inevitable, possibly 2. I think the left back is a Greta signing as well. A new goalkeeper is probably likely too. I feel a lot of clubs like Brentford will be much much worse, if they lose Wissa too that’ll be a crazy amount of goals taken out of their team, not to mention best central midfielder, manager and all but 1 of his coaching staff who is ironically his manager. Wolves selling Cunha is blow too, they looked relegation material until February time.I agree Xhaka signing is huge. Also agree about Man United and Spurs being a dodgy season. But even look at depth of higher up teams.
At present our back 4 plus keeper going into the West Ham game is:
Patterson
Hume Ballard Seelt Reinaldo
That worries me a lot. As I saidz if we sign a few more then will most likely have a different opinion. A new CB is essential. Also the AFCON period is worrying to lose that many players at once.
I'd rather have taken the money myself.Put £100 on us to be top half at 33/1. Stranger things have happened. I never bet either. Last one was a tender on Kevin Phillips to be top scorer in the prem at 100/1. Won the golden boot.
I'll win a hell of a lot of money if that's how it finishes.Sunderland
