Predict a signing

I could have saved Gelhardts goal for Hull and I'm 55 and got crabsticks for arms. Patterson is an average Championship goalkeeper.
He'll be disappointed with that for sure but he'd also pulled off a great save moments before iirc.
Will be interesting to see what happens with the gk situation in the summer. Can definitely see Ellborg going out on loan as I think he needs games to develop. Surely it makes more sense to have a Homegrown keeper as No.2 given the rules, so if Patto is deemed not good enough or he wants out, can see a Homegrown keeper coming in as back up.
Of course this is all the assumption Roefs stays...

There is a homegrown keeper who is international standard but I don't think he's ever played European football? Unsure. If we got a massive bid for Roefs, who has been excellent, could we tempt Pickford with EEL football?
tbh I'd prefer to keep Roefs but Pickford would make sense in terms of his homegrown status and the progression of Young. Pickford probably has another 4 years as a top level keeper at which point Young will be 23ish and hopefully ready to step up.
I imagine we'd get more for selling Roefs, who could be a top keeper for the next 15 years, than it would cost to lure Pickford from Everton. Maybe?

Hope not. He really is poor

Would he?
Not keen on Delap at all. Can see sense in Wan Bissaka if Geertruida doesn't stay but I think I'd rather keep Geertruida even with the Homegrown taken into account

I think if Roefs went it's a question worth asking

He loves Everton too mind and he’ll be on huge wages, not sure we’d be willing to do that with the SCR implications?

Wan Bissaka? I always thought he excelled as a wing back for his athleticism and crossing but was susceptible at the back.

His FotMob stats seem to indicate he dribbles and crosses a lot and a slightly (above)average defender?
No complete opposite he’s good tackler shite at going forward that’s why Man Utd got rid as he’s more of an out and out fullback

Maybe, but being honest I don’t think Roefs is capable of the save that Patto made against Ipswich on the other hand. The playoff semi was already gone when Patto made the mistake. Certainly wasn’t his fault that Millwall went out.

Ah okay. 👍

Could be something in it then if Geertruida doesn’t stay and he qualifies as homegrown. Although Moyes will be all over it I reckon.
Yeah, Everton need a full back and Moyes is very much defence first. You’re right club may look at it for homegrown status. We’ll have to see what we do.
BTW that wasn’t meant to sound like a dickhead comment initially.

If Mayenda AND Isidor leave, I can't see us signing two strikers for decent money. But we'll need 3 in the squad.

Raul Jimenez is available on a free and would be a good backup for Brobbey and to play some Europa League, on a 1 year deal. And ideal for any penalty shoot outs we have in Europe.

Josh Maja also available on a free, would fill a home grown club position, but was awful last season.

Hendo.

Makes perfect sense now. Added experience for the extra games when we don't have Xhaka. Fills the homegrown academy quota. Proved he's still good enough for the league and not loved by Brentford right now. Perfect for a final season swansong.
