Unless city give him a massive financial incentive to leave no way will he leave city
He,s rumoured to be on twice what xhaka is on
Dont get me wrong , great player but wage wise well out of our ball park
I like the lad Kovacic at city but even he earns 30 or 40k pw more than Xhaka
We are looking at up and comers from eg Belgian and ‘lower leagues’ or older quality players like Xhaka looking for one ‘last rodeo’
Get Xhaka to give an assessment of players mentioned at Leverkusen and maybe he can sweet talk them

Possibly already mentioned but I’d love to see an ambitious swoop for Mateus Fernandes from West Ham. Only young but shades of Granit Xhaka when he first arrived at Arsenal. He’d cost a fortune and top clubs will be after him, but he’d be a perfect fit here and long term successor to the king.
