He's not going to be sacked and shouldn't be. However serious questions needs to be asked. We have been poor under him the whole time he's been here barring the last couple of months of last season. His signings too have been utter wank.

we should have shut up shop and limited the damage but the manager completely bottled it (he has form for this) his solution was to look generally grumpy.............. he is out of his depth and lacks sufficient backbone ability or imagination to manage at this level

It's not one game though is it? It's a slide that started after the Cup Final, when he pissed about with 3-5-2 and only stayed up thanks to a miyacle. And then a pathetic summer "spree", followed by one win in 8. And now this.

Compared to PDC he's Cloughie mind, but that's about all you can say in his defence. How do we pick them.
The slide that included beating Chelsea man Utd etc? Hope we have another slide like that soon.

Tricky start? Haven't played arsenal, chelsea, everton, man city, liverpool. That's not a tricky start.
Other than Stoke we havent had any games you would describe as "winnable" at home, other than perhaps Swansea who were in shit hot form when they played us. And we've picked up a few points away from home.

Not bothered one way or the other. I think he is the 28th or so manager or caretaker that I've wtinessed.

If you don't like the manager...wait a while, he will be sacked eventually.

No, I get what you're saying, and you're right, I'm just pointing out some of the unwinnable fixtures upcoming! :)

Very few of them have been winnable in the top flight in the time I've watched SAFC. We've by and large been utterly out of our depth in this division for years/decades now.

Freak result, but not the first time we have taking a pasting.

Probably wise to take a long term view rather than flap after one result, as shit as this result is, and they should pay for the fans who went to support them.

Is that why we are in the top 10 teams for current tenures in the PL?
How we have survived this long in the top flight is a moot point. There must have been some utterly shit teams in it over the last few years. We have fucked about 15th, 17th, 16th, 19th for most of our time in recent years yet somehow managed to scrape survival, usually in the last game or two.

Win next week which is not out of the question and today will be forgotten about,
