They might just as well publish that and cancel all football competition.
With a couple of exception the status quo has not changed over the history of football.
It was rarely full thoIt doesn't help considering our capacity was 22k for a decade. Longer?

Fair commentThat's not the point. The bigger games would have attracted more fans therefore our average attendance would have been higher.
The top 12 are the undisputed biggest clubs in English football imo
Look who's back, I'm sure this time tomorrow there will be a f***ing sad article in the mag fanzine about how Newcastle are above sunderland in this attendance table.Near North Shields?
Look at the top 30 supported clubs in europe last season and you'll see the same glaring omission. It just makes the crowds that much more extraordinary imo.Agreed, though interestingly, only one of those has failed to win a major European Trophy.

Hey, I've just remembered - we haven't won a major european trophy either!
Using that argument we'd be lower down the table as every club around us has had more sellouts than us.That's not the point. The bigger games would have attracted more fans therefore our average attendance would have been higher.

If they used a calculation system based on average attendance to success ratio we'd be top by miles.
A handful of challenges for the title in the late 40s & 50s, 1 FA Cup win, 1 European competition and plenty of seasons out of the top flight.![]()
When the "big club" threads are on the go my contribution is generally that theres 13 clubs bigger than the rest and the top 12 in that table are them with Sheff Wed having slipped one place.....which tbh has surprised me.Them top 20 teams would be my ideal Premier League.
