Yeah, I agree mate. Both teams shouldn’t be at this level but here we are. I think there’s a bit hyperbole running wild, because people are pissed off that something was thrown again and obviously frustration at the result.

I've been to plenty of Sunderland v Pompey games down the years and can't say I've noticed any bother, always been a decent set of fans.
Having the away fans above home fans with no physical barrier was a stupid idea from the start and you can't tar 3000 fans with the same brush due to one brain dead numpty with a smoke bomb. Had the away fans been in the lower tier and he'd chucked it, it would probably have hit his own fans.
As for the Stone Island clad chavs acting hard after the game, most clubs have those too (including ours), and in reality was there actually any bother?

The Portsmouth fans behind me low down in the west stand looked a right aggressive lot. Some dressed in suits (the sort of suits they’d wear to court rather than work) and i think they must have had corporate tickets. When they equalised there was a roar behind me so I thought the goal must have disallowed. Turned round to see these fuckers celebrating aggressively. No sense of respect from any of them and there must have been about 50.
