A Storyville documentary following a group of citizens in West Virginia who take on a corporation after they discover it has been dumping a toxic chemical into the water supply. What’s the basis of the claim it’s not safe?
99% of the world I think.99.9% of people in the USA have teflon in their body. Or something like that.
Did you actually watch it? They were fined $130 million. Their annual profits were never anywhere near $50bn. Their sales around the time mentioned were $20bn p.a. so profits would not have been $5bn. The fines were far too low at the time but they’ve paid about $1bn in law suits recently. Very shabby behaviour though. The Teflon company were found guilty in court of knowingly dumping a poisonous chemical into a water supply.
They were fined a few thousand dollars.
Their annual profits were more than 50 billion dollars.
They had tried every which way to deny it and cover it up.
Those directly responsible were allowed to carry on life as normal.
You are @Space Hopper @burb and @What A Waster and I claim my cuddly toy. Those claims will never stick
