*~*~* Plymouth v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Boro be a big game now. Beat them, take something at watford and this will soon be forgotten. Bad performance today. It happens.
Did they drive down on the coach? That's a handicapp. Teh team lasted 40 minues, fatigue. Apart from Mundle and a few otehrs. Surely they stayed in a hotel the night before?

Experience
I thought it was the older of our players who really let us down today. 0'9, Cirkin, Patterson and Neil were very poor for me today. Easily their worst games for a considerable time, I'm a big fan of all 4 but thought they all played poorly when on the ball. If Neil wishes to remain captain he has to be dominant in that position and have more ambition than about him than making the odd simple pass - he needs to drive the team.

Ffs we’d just equalised last time I was able to check my phone. Get in a train and I’m offline for a couple of hrs thinking to myself it’s a decent point only to get back online just now and see the final score 😡

A reet kick in the knackers

And likewise, the older players need to be more verbal, pushing & pulling players into position for blocks and marking. This has been a real strength until today.

So the first four games weren’t “real form” but when we lose that’s the “real form”? . Great logic.
Our form is 4-0-1 and 12 points from five games and bloody great, but NO, I don't think we're yet sure about this squad yet, but certainly the happy clappers convinced themselves otherwise.

IF our form in the next five games (10 matches) puts us on less than 20 points, then yes I will be unhappy.
We absolutely should have nicked a draw. Really poor goalkeeping for the winner

No. Thirlwell scored one of them
We've all known about Patterson having a weaker side to him and he's decent, but NOT top drawer.

We beat Southampton 5 nowt a year ago
We nearly went down last season ! if it wasn't for another decent start... The trouble with happy clappers is you can't seem to differentiate the difference between the canny lads who go to the match for the drink and the group of fans who actually want us to succeed and I have seen people like you throughout my life.
