Rather tasty imo. Now I absolutely despise bananas and can't think of owt worse than a juiceless fruit, but slice up these fellas and fry them in a pan and they're lusheroony.

Serve piping hot with a sprinkling of sea salt and a scotch bonnet-based hot sauce.

They had them in a shop next to where I used to live but the big sign above them that read 'ATTENTION WHITE PEOPLE: THESE ARE NOT BANANAS!' was a little off putting.

I'm sure there are places, but in London you can buy them in almost every shop, supermarket and market stall. Up here they're like gold dust.

Never tried it, but I would imagine it'd be nice on a pizza - either alongsdie or in the place of the pineapple on a Hawaiian pizza
