Pitch invader at the end

Anybody else see the lad jump the fence & leg along the side of the pitch after full time. On from the West Stand (South side) & ran up to Dan Neil (I think) as he was about to go down the tunnel & asked for his shirt. Dan Neil looked thoroughly confused, but took his top off, but the lad got captured by the stewards before he got it. Was lead away, protesting, as if the stewards were in the wrong, then a member of staff came back up the touch line & gave the lad Neil’s shirt.

Probably lost his season ticket, but got a shirt.

Anyhow, that’s it. The end.

I take it you didn't see this thread right at the top of the forum? 🤪

Nah, I can’t be arsed to read other people’s shite posts. Mine’s better ;)

He just ran onto the pitch and asked Neil for his shirt. Neil was taking it off but security dragged him away and told him not to give it.

Then he must have given it to one of the back room staff and asked him to go and give him it as he was getting dragged off.

It’s me being boring, but I hate people going on the pitch. With the amount of coked up morons around you never know what will happen
I agree. I'm bored by this 'I love you. Can I have your shirt?' Running on the pitch is only going to lead to trouble.

I stood in the west stand watching what happened, everyone around agreed he deserved Neils shirt and Dan was very happy to offer it to him. The stewards over-reacted big time. If loads try to hop on next game it's upto the stewards to stop them. Football is such a sanitised environment these days it was very refreshing to see a spontaneous moment with a fan so passionate to do that today. Clearly bleeds safc as does the boy who's shirt he now proudly owns. This is more about what safc really is our fans are f***ing brilliant, never change.

And if he'd run on and belted Dan Neil suppose it would have been the stewards fault for not stopping him.

There was clearly zero chance of that happening. They misread the situation entirely. Common sensedid eventually prevail though and the lad was gifted the shirt and escorted back to the south stand. No harm done to anyone.

No mate. Let's start an unnecessary bit of wind & piss because we won a football match. Fuck we won.... 🫤

"Did anyone see [insert petty bullshit] "

Maybe I’m being a miserable fart here (probably)

Why did someone from the back room staff run out to give a grown adult entering the pitch Dan Neil’s shirt?

What message does it send to the kid that was holding a sign asking for Jobes shirt (we need to stop that but that’s a different story) who got nowt?
There'll be 5'000 invaders next home game after they seen their hero collect his winnings there!

Was a bit odd but then again the club is notorious for making stupid decisions

I’m going to get Pritchards shirt. I’ll still be wandering around the tunnel looking confused as they’re turning the lights off shouting “Aleeeeeeeex ?!”

There’s a lad keeps asking the oppo keeper in the warm up for his gloves every week which i find a bit odd. I find this whole wanting items of players’ clothing very peculiar behaviour, and to actually make signs requesting them, as you say, another story altogether. But very odd. Such is the modern world eh?

When Pickford was here. There was a lad asked him for his gloves and he said ‘nah man i’ve just got them, they are brand new’ made me laugh.
I thought stewards were way OTT at the situation. Nice touch by Neil who saw the heavy handiness and the back room staff to run after the lad to hand it to him.

90% of them will end up on eBay, easy way to make some money.

Shouldn't be rewarding anyone for running on the pitch like, it will only encourage more and more people to do it.
