I haven't decided the final format yet! :)

++ If we get ten or less entries - nee problem.
++ If we get more than ten entries, I will think on if that day arrives.
++ I will make it simple and hopefully explain it clearly.
++ It won't be a two month competition in the sense that there will be one theme lasting two months, I'd lose interest with a closing date 8 weeks away - but I will give a bigger span of time for people to actually take their pictures, as this seems a popular request.

Ah well that's alright then.

You are asking people to keep track of three themes and three closing dates. They won't. I suspect you will end up with an even smaller hardcore of regulars entering.

I am confused, although that doesn't take much doing.

I will go with whatever PB comes up with as at least she is putting the effort into organising it, but I think the format AB22 had a while back where it was monthly and the winner picked the theme for 2 months time worked quite well, all that was needed was to encourage more people to enter things, and probably a check that the proposed themes weren't too obscure.

I should have a Gallery System installed on the message boards again very soon, which will allow everyone to upload photos to that months competition gallery and keep all of the entries in one place....it is actually installed now, but some problems need ironed out before it is made available to everyone.

.

To be honest, that's one of the main reasons I changed from that format, people were choosing some odd themes.

When I stopped setting the comp in early summer I thought it needed a break and a shake up. I had planned on resurrecting the old "winner chooses the theme" format but with some controls in place to ensure nothing was too obscure or specialist.

I think that format works best and keeps the competition fresh as the themes aren't all chosen by one person. Perhaps, as a sanity check, the theme chooser could submit two or three themes to the organiser who chooses something from them that's going to keep up interest.

Just a thought.

Youth is Wasted on the Young and 12 Days of Christmas, both chosen by wimmin!
