Phased stadium upgrade plans...

It's not what supporters notice. In the main it's what they need for safety cert, floodlights and tannoy system. 5g is a grant so only optional "improvement" appears to be circa 2k rail seats. I wonder if there's any funding available for this.

You could argue the railing seats are safety related aswell, everyone stands there and it's just a matter of time before they're forced to make people sit again which hasn't gone on for awhile now.

Should be a big glass fronted megastore/sports bar (decked out with SAFC memorabilia/blown up photos)/ticket office/museum on the land in front of Black Cat house or somewhere very nearby.

On the latter point the Fans Museum in the old Monkwearmouth station is praiseworthy but who actually owns all the stuff that has been donated there as what would happen to it if it was ever shut down/closed down for whatever reason? There’s some valuable stuff in there. A club with our history shouid have its own dedicated museum owned by SAFC.

What clientele are the actually after there though? Looks like some cracking restaurants going int there, will there be venues for beer swilling football fans?
I think there's a mix of supporters, some shall we say more civilised than others. They'll also tailor their offering depending on what's on at sol imo.

There will be minimal money spent, they'll just do the most essential facelift on the obvious things that fans notice. They'll not spend what they've claimed, the money they do spend will be borrowed on the club it won't be their own. They will never build a club megastore, they've made it clear they don't even want the small shop we do have, they want to be completely online.
Having a good day?
