Asda Grangetown was £1.507 Saturday so I gave it a miss. Paid £1.439 a litre today hoying 50 odd litres in me dirty diesel in 2 mins 17 seconds.
piss take
No range anxiety for a good 700 miles either.

We drove the work diesel Astra estate to Moreton in Marsh and back and it still had a quarter tank left. Until electric cars can manage these sorts of ranges with really quick charging they can suck me clinkers.

£1.49 for diesel in Sainsbury's today sure Costco is at least 5p cheaper but I was nowhere near it

Unfortunately the prices seem to be on the rise again.

I noticed that unleaded at Morrisons, Seaburn was £1.43. summat tonight - I'm sure it was 'only' £1.39 a week or so ago.

North East is about 10p a litre more expensive than Midlands and Lancashire area I find.

I concur, have one daughter living in manchester and one up in glasgow. Petrol always considerably in both places than around north east. Not 10p cheaper like.

I never look at the price of fuel.

I go to my nearest garage which happens to be Esso but I figure I would spend more driving to a cheaper petrol station for the coppers difference it makes.

If you're driving past one which is cheaper than your local it makes sense to use it.

Indeed but I never drive to a cheaper filling station. The coppers difference makes it irrelevant and the cheaper ones are often busier.

Is BP Esso better than supermarket stuff? Or is that a myth?

My Kia Sportage had some fuel filter issues and my friendly mechanic told me not to use cheap supermarket fuel saying it was cheap for a reason.
I know Jack shit about these things but he’s a decent honest lad I ve used for years.
