It's being repeated on Sunday, at 22:10 on BBC Two. i will be watching it again of course, but even now thinking back to last year, you just can't describe what it was like when it finished.

I've still never seen it. It was taken off the Iplayer quite quickly for some reason. Will tune in.

It was absolutely brilliant. No point really trying to describe it really because it just as much about the way it made you feel as how impressive what Jackson did with the footage. Great that we can do stuff like this now.

Saw it at the cinema last year, truly outstanding piece of film. But not only that, the ‘plot’ and timeline is brilliantly well thought out.

Best thing Jackson has created

Watched it on Emirates Airlines returning from China. Absolutely brilliant and should be shown in all UK school history lessons. You cannot imagine how much those men went through on the way to their usual inevitable end Makes you realise the futility of war.

Should be broadcast ON TV Remembrance Day.... EVERY YEAR LEST WE FORGET.

RIP

This thick twat should be forced to watch it

Absolutely love this. I went to visit la boiselle and lochnagar crater 2 weeks ago to see exactly where my great grandad left his trench and what his objectives were on the 1st July 1916. He was killed and has never been found and still lies somewhere in the field where is stood. Watching it is a bit surreal as it brings to life what went on. Even 100 years on the atmosphere is strange as no birds were singing at all and there was this strange feeling all over the battlefields we visited. The most strange was the newfoundland regt battlefield it was indescribable.
