People who aren't renewing

I'm probably not going to, my energy bill has just gone up a hundred quid a month and I'm sick to death of this shitty league.

I’m not…can’t say it’s any other reason than match day being shite and now think I could replace it with something better

Cancelled me DD
Not made me mind as ive said in another thread
Sick of being held to ransom
No idea which league, who will be the manager and how many of the players they going to sell on
Sure I'd get more out of it if I went less
Remember Roker Park days saying right I'm not going that'll show them,
16000 ish still turned up

Reading this thread depresses me; this is how bad the owners of this club are. Folk have had enough of lies, mirrors and smokescreens. They have brought this state of affairs through their absolute arrogance and bullshit. They, fully, deserve any shitstorm that comes their way next season as they are completely f***ing crap at what they do. Driving fans away through incompetence. Shameful.

That’s going to be a shock to those at the club, it’s going to be a major shock come October again, lots of grounds are going to struggle to get people in the door I reckon.

The big PL clubs will be ok as they'll have people waiting in the wings to take up any seats not renewed. The rest of us could struggle. A litre of fuel is now around £1.70, my gas/electricity bill has just gone up from £107 to £238 a month just like that, and then there's the increse in food prices on top of that.

People will have to make cut backs to even attempt to make ends meet and for many, saving £450 on watching 23 turgid games of football will be high on their list of things to cut back on.

Correct.

My cousin is packing in he's 36, had a ticket for 20 years. They've just had a 2nd bairn. The rise in the cost of living is hitting him hard.

After deliberating long and hard I've decided to chuck it in after 34 years..the lad has renewed with his mates..partly financial and partly apathetic(never thought I'd say that!!)...still love SAFC but going to games is now a effort that was never there before...I've a heavy heart tonight..so I'm ready to get abuse from some quarters but I've had enough now I'm devoting time to things I should've done a while ago...apologies fellow mackems!😥😥😥😥

I suspect this is going to be a case for many of our supporters, is understandable its hard times, and family and financial commitments takeover.

I’m done had season ticket since 1996/97 season fuck them. The story’s ya hear coming out, club is a complete mess and morale at all time low.
It’s been shite for years but was always a few games a season that made it worth while. Night games I’ve been f***ing off and watching in the house and even Saturday games thinking what am I doing here. Love everything about a match day currently apart from once I get to me seat and it’s just shit.

Il still get go as and when and il still pick a few aways using other peoples points. Il be back no doubt just had enough.
Il be at Wembley as well if we get there 😂

I renewed, but as the years go by, I'm becoming ever more apathetic towards the club and the way things are, both on and off the pitch.

Meeting up in the pub before the game, with my matchday mates is the best thing about a matchday.

I no longer enjoy the football, and I usually lose the will to live, once the game kicks off, and the turgid football often has me wishing I'd stayed at home, or gone to work, instead.
The often poor & much subdued atmosphere inside the SOL, indicates that many other spectators, feel the same way as I do.

The rapid decline in the fortunes of our club, and the way things currently are, both on and off the pitch, is draining the life and enthusiasm out of many fans, and the worrying thing is, there's no indication at all, that things are going to improve any time soon.

I'm not renewing the 4 season cards we have in this house. I've honestly had enough of watching shite mediocre football in this horrible league with inept officials.
I'm dissilutioned about the whole ownership and direction of the club also.
Do I just cancel my direct debit?

I presume so. I’ve cancelled my DD and am still undecided about renewing.

I’ve had a gut full of League 1 and all that entails. The whole professionalism (or lack of) at the club, the lack of hope, ambition and investment.

I see no genuine prospect of improvement anytime soon.

Order me, dad and my son our first ever season tickets for the SOL.

Moved home and having missed out on years due to living away and family life it felt wrong not to get one.

Taking dad Saturday as a test run for next year

Totally depends on my two teenage boys.
They are at an age where other interests are grabbing their attention.
If they decide not to renew then I will happily pack it in.
I’ve long lost the enjoyment factor .
Be quite happy to watch a stream .
