No . Emails are used as evidence so you cant be shafted by someone you're dealing with.

Ah, yep... agreed.
They have their purpose like and good for sharing communications or documents.
For asking a question it just saying “OK” they’re dreadful. Wastes so much time.

a. answer a work related email in a timely and efficient manner
b. go on the RTG forum and complain that I don't have the time to prioritise answering work emails
