A Durham legend...in 50 years time we'll still be talking about his contribution to the club. What a man!

I think some people (inc me) were/are waiting on official confirmation.A legend, that I can’t believe is retiring.
I thought he’d just keep on playing and still be excellent at 50.
Hope he is a successful coach. As would love him for England.
Was surprised there wasn’t a thread last night. Didn’t come on to check after seeing the tweets from Marty.
Never mind batting coach he should replace Bayliss. Now.Hopefully Englands next batting coach.
Absolute legend of the game, done you boys proud over the years. Hope he has a joyous end of the season, and a happy retirement.

And now I can see that the confirmation is there.
Luv Colly me. Always did as an England plays but it's been special these last few years at Durham.
He became captain at a difficult time. The Colonel was having difficulty and Colly who was apparently flirting with going to Derbyshire (I think) took over as Captain. The team immediately went on an unbeaten run and saving themselves from relegation.
Next of course the championship win and the Royal London Cup …
But for me, it always seemed to be that when players dropped out of the England team they either retired or otherwise disappeared from the County scene. Colly didn't, Colly wasn't ready and as it turned out Durham was ready for Colly.
Mr Durham.
