I agree, Overall he probably is an average Championship goalie. His shot stopping is exceptional while his distribution and box command is below par. Weirdly, his development seems to have stalled. He is still young though and it’s not unrealistic to assume he will improve under a new GK coach.

I hope so, but dont think you can train anyone to be more bully and vocal. Its more of a natural personality trait.
 
Ive just looked at his Wiki page and here is a quote from 2021. He is the best we have so can’t drop him IMO but not working on obvious areas for four years is a real concern:

Indicates a lack of progression.

Around October I stated (and got heavily criticised that we won’t gain automatic promotion with three players.

Neil

Neil has proved me wrong and demonstrated he can improve performances. Never should have been captain though.

The other two I was bang on.

The clues in the behind him bit the ball traveled further too him and he’s in a totally different position so it has zero relevance
 
IMHO Patto is ok. Average championship keeper at best.

Anyone thinking he’s better than that is deluded but he is what we have and we need to stick with him.

By about 5 yards :lol:

If you think that ball was travelling a hundred miles an hour, then their defender had less than a second more than Patto did to react to it.
 
Every transfer window I hope someone thinks he is better than he is and buys him. I don't mind him tho, decent championship keeper. Would suit a midtable championship club like a Stoke city who always underachieve or a newly promoted club from league one.

I mean its not a howler but it was gettable - its more the timing of it. The same goal gets conceded in the 35th minute it would be mild criticism I reckon.

Over the course of a season every keeper it can be argued concedes goals that they might have done better on. In fact some people can find an angle to blame the keeper of their choice for just about every goal that hits the back of the net. He certainly gained us points at home to Norwich and Sheff U off the top of my head and i'm sure there will have been others.
