Patto

Don't mind Patto, but he needs to come out more for the ball and he's got to be more commanding. Seems a bit soft at times and not willing to absolutely clatter anyone in his way to get the ball.

His kicking leaves a lot to be desired, which is made worse when having defenders starting positions deep in his box. Those defenders get ignored, the ball gets launched straight back to the opposition, which puts us on the back foot due to players already starting from deep positions and not getting out quick enough.

The amount of times we invited Leeds to pile the pressure us with their recycling of Patto's aimless kicks was just constant.

fans are crackers man. He’s one of the best in the division. There is absolutely zero chance that he would get dropped. Amongst professional decision makers it won’t even be a discussion point.
His save per centage is 8th in the division, and shot stopping is his best quality. He aint up there with the best in the division. He's not up there with Trafford (wanker) Cooper or Johansson.

For me I have seen massive improvement in several young players this season.
As for Patto 🤷‍♂️ Just the same.
  • Lacks a vocal presence so defenders often go for the same ball, causing a collision and dropping to attacker.
  • Gets rooted to his line when balls crossed into 6 yard box, should be collecting that or punching with gusto.
  • His distribution is getting worse this season, throws out to slowley and when he kicks rarely finds a player.

Great shot stopper but no way near Premier League standard IMO.

Hope the new goalie coach can help him improve some of his weaknesses. Would be nice to see changes in his way of dealing with crosses into the 6 yard box.

I think you’re missing the part it wa moving at about 100mph you need to stop watching things in slow motion it looks hell of a lot easier than real time
It’s blatantly obvious to tell who has or has not played the game at any level other than a park kick about or down the community centre’s 5-a-side leagues.

Trafford has the luxury of an excellent defensive screen
Time after time we conceded because of our inability to clear our area .Some of which is due to poor distribution from Patto and those defending the area
