Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

Although Traore has 94 club goals and 22 international goals so he must get it right sometimes.

Admittedly, you would never guess that from his performances to date for us.

On the other wing ELF has 11 career goals in 238 appearances. 6 of them came in one season under RLB at Lorient.

Maybe RLB thought he could get him going again but I would not be surprised to see ELF moved on in the summer. In the short term maybe Mundle can provide the goals ELF can’t.
Le fee has been class. Why would we move him on?In a not very creative team,he is the creative spark
As more time passes by, the better a player Roberts becomes for some
He has always been class

Roberts played better with better players. Le Fee, Amad, Clarke, Hume etc. I think Paddy would have stepped up to having the likes of Xhaka, Mukiele and Sadiki. I miss him like I miss Amad. He was just fun to watch, not always brilliant but he at as his best he was fantastic viewing. I hope to see him back in red and white again

Would Brum even have a send back clause in the contract? There would be a return clause for us, but never heard of the other way around.

How many right wingers do we currently have in the squad that aren’t going to AFCON?

He's not good enough regardless IMO. I'd rather have a right footed right winger like Adingra or Mundle out there than Roberts. Played a huge part in getting us back up into the PL, but just don't think he's good enough for this level - even if it does seem a bit harsh. I would imagine that we will look to bring in a left footed winger in the next 2 windows as well.

I'd even rather push Hume up and play him as a deep winger with an attacking midfielder filling in the space ahead of him. I genuinely think the lad is our best crosser of the ball.

I'd actually quite like to see it tried at some point. Get him whipping in crosses from deep for Brobbey and Isidor to attack.
Still think hed be canny to bring on in the last 20 mins of a game
Hardly setting the Championship alight is he. 2 goals and 2 assists in 14 starts ain't exactly great.

To be honest though, not many teams put in old fashioned crosses anymore. Our goal last week is a rare one of it's kind where a player will cross the ball from near the touchline and result in a goal. Obviously was an error by Woltemade as well. If you look at the way we play, our wingers are used a lot defensively then they carry the ball. In advanced positions they tend to play in triangles - especially since they are usually used as inverted wingers, they don't cross the ball a lot. They try to work openings more.
