Alan Pardew has left every single club he's been at in a worse state than when he found it. Yes he has his little purple patch where he strokes himself over what a fantastic job he's doing whilst also stroking the egos of his players, but when things turn they don't half turn, and he has no ability whatsoever in turning things around.

I can’t stand him, but there’s no getting away from the fact he’s above our level, which was partly my point. Everyone laughed on here when the Mags dug him up, but he did quite well there really.

The other point I’m trying to make is that a manager should be judged on his ability, not personality. ‘I’ll never go back if he comes’ is just silly, ‘toys out of the pram’ talk. If he did well for us, I could put aside the fact that I detest him.

All I was responding to was you saying he's a very good manager. I don't believe he is and have posited my reasoning for that.

He's not a PL manager now, like. Failed miserably at Palace even with record money spent. No one will touch him with a barge pole now. See him desperately trying to worm his way into the Everton and Leicester jobs only to be ignored?

Championship is definitely his level now. Don't think he'd come here anyway because he missed being down south while managing mags
