Pakistan v England 3rd Test

Another half-an-hour of this and we're getting into innings defeat territory.

I struggle to understand how England continually have issues removing tail-end batsmen - it's like they collectively sh!t their pants when someone starts giving it the 'long handle'.

Aye they are punishing us now. Impressive tbh the way they've gone about it when under pressure as in the past they've crumbled.

They only crumble in the third innings and they won’t have to do it here

It’s one of life’s big mysteries, but I’d certainly suggest that the main problem in this game has been the fact they simply stopped trying to get one half of each of the last two partnerships out. Their bowling and tactics to Saud since lunch have been a f*cking disgrace.
It’s not lost yet. We’re behind but it’s not lost

Let it go mate, seriously, it’s over.

@Jap Stammer actually has a point, there’s more chance of us losing by an innings than winning from this position.

I think we know that with this side it’s rarely over. Either way.

Well done the hosts. All the talk was about the pitch/their spin but their batsmen have really wrestled things back in their favour since tea.

New Zealand lead by 300 runs with 5 wickets remaining… one positive for us all to grab hold of from the world of cricket today.

Tidied.

We’d have to get a lead over 250 mate, can you see our lot scoring over 300 on this deck??

Unlikely. But can I see this Pakistan team being rolled over in a 4th innings? Yeah.

Agreed. They should also be trying to put the 'set' batsman under as much pressure as possible as he will be thinking it's all down to him. He might then offer up a chance through trying to hit his way out of it.

Instead we've tried to give him singles to get off strike and attack the 'weaker' batsman in the partnership, who then just thinks 'F@ck it. There's loads of wide open spaces to hit into, I'm just going to give it a bash'.

England seem unable to bowl an accurate line and length at batsmen who are not in the team for their prowess with the bat. Not just this team either - It's happened for decades now.
