panesar has got a fair few to absolutely rip so id expect ajmal to cause our lot a world of trouble. (i have zero confidence in our middle order in these conditions). they will be thinking as long as they can get shot of cook and trott the rest will crumble.

i really hope we can break the partnership early or will be looking sick.

I would open with Prior in our innings, when chasing a low total but on a tricky pitch need some impetus

He is too wrapped up in the past. Anything that happens seems to remind him of the middle session of the 2nd Test at Port of Spain on some faraway tour.

Well past his sell-by date.

Thank God it's not just me.

He's always last to spot things anarl. You can almost hear his brain straining to realise that summat might have just happened, while everyone else has been shouting "HE'S OUT!" for 10 seconds.

Shame really, because I love the TMS team and expert summarisers generally - much better than their football equivalents. But then he comes on and I have to find something missing in the fridge so I can nip out to the shops for 20 mins, until they've wheeled him back into the crypt so I can listen again.

I have a recurring nightmare - I'm in a room with HB and Jonathan Pearce, and I have a gun. Who do I shoot? Probably myself, so I'll never have to listen to either of them again.

I'm usually pessimistic in these circumstances (anyway), but I do agree with you. 150+ is likely to be tricky.

I think the optimism in the English press concerning the current state of the Test is misplaced. I fear for us chasing anything over 150.

Lets have some optimism lads. There last recognised partnership is already worth 70odd it will be a minor miracle if they get towards 200 lead. Their tail hasn't looked like wagging. Touch wood.

Haway the lads, gonna be 1-1 after the bold and correct decision to replace tremlett to go with the two spinner, two seemer option like some wise posters called for. Setting up a cracking last test like.

We NEED to get them two early as they have to start again. Once they are in, they will take some shifting. They will also know they just need to get to a lead of around 150 and England will be under pressure, especially as the middle order are all at sea against spin.

A lead of 200 equals series over.

Got all me weekend jobs done yesterday, so just getting settled into the comfy chair for a weekend of sport - England to get off to a flying start and win today, United to beat the racists tonight followed by yet another embarrassing cup defeat for the mags, Australian open final tomorrow, then Sunderland to trounce the two headed smog monsters.

Can you get bed sores from a chair?.

Pesky DRS, no way was the ball turning that far :roll:

This pitch is flat as a witches tit today.
