Pakistan v England, 2nd test

Good positive start from Trott after lunch here, slightly lucky with his 2nd 4, but it's good to see us taking to the field with the right attitude.

I can't believe Beefy was right in saying we should have them for 250, but glad he was, great chance now if we can bat sensibly.

Good to see Trott being positive.

Did anyone see the stats on S/R and number of 6s hit by Skys commentary team? Botham hit 67 6s in TEST cricket alone.

Pakistan have totally wasted their two reviews. Time to put them to the sword lads 8-)

...now they are getting in a huff

hope this aint fixed, seems a bit odd never referrring when the batsman is out and vice versa

Ready made excuse if England win this test ;-)

I'd be more concerned about England batsmen taking a bung for the crass way they performed in the first test.

England dominating so far, a good last session would put us well in command of this game. Would be nice to get level with only 2 or 3 wickets down, plenty of shot players down the order to get a good lead from there.

Crucial session. agreed.

Pakistan get three wickets, game is back on. If England lose one or two max then we are firmly in the driving seat.

I can see our tail getting knocked over quite cheaply

Gul looking like he's carrying a niggle, he's not looked particularly threatening so far, so not sure if that would be a good thing for us or not.

If we can be past 200 by the close for the loss of no more than 1 more wicket then that will have been a really good day for us. It's hard to say what a good 1st innings lead would be, the pitch looks like it's flattened a bit since yesterday, so wickets might not be as easy to come by as they were, but if we carry on like this, we should be looking at a lead of 200-250.

if we reach that sort of lead, half way through tomorrow, a win should be on

If we get that far it will take us most if not all of tomorrow to get a lead approaching 200, dont forget you only get around 70-80 a session in these conditions
pakistan scored over a 100 in a session yesterday

prior has shown the ability to lift a run rate during the last two years and a hour with him and morgan, will increase it dramatically

took about 20 mins to round off their first innings.

misbah and khan, could bat out a day but the rest are wickets in waiting imo
