The first morning of the first test cricket England have played in around 5 months in a country we've never play tests in before. Did anyone expect anything other than this?

Hopefully we'll turn things around. A stat came up before saying Morgan averages 160odd against spin in tests

i said it wil be our toughest test but a series we can win. i stil ltand by that.

can i use the "rusty" card this time marra? :lol:

the least i would expect from international bowlers to have is a bit variation in pace and length. at the end of the day, bells wicket apart, the batsmen were at fault for every wicket. strauss and cooks were abysmal shots at nothing balls.

they were hardly rusty having seen some of them go to India not so long ago.

When will people accept English batsman arent very good on asian wickets because they are so alien to them

Its the same when the sri lankans/indians come to England
 
No worries chaps, if England can get 100 that should be enough to send shivers down the spine of Pakistans brittle batting line up :lol:

No-one has ever denied that. In fact, most have said that trips to UAE/Sri Lanka/India will prove whether we really are the best in the world. We've made a poor start. It happens. Hopefully Broad and Prior can get a few runs here. 150/6 would look a lot better.

Going well so far I see.

Haven't been able to catch any of this so far but I gather it really isn't a 94-7 type pitch. Is Ajmal turning it at right angles by any chance?
 
strauss from only a few days ago

1 spinner and getting knocked over after going after the bowler later......
