If i'm in the office it's a round trip of about 80 miles but working from home at the moment so half a dozen steps.

Some chimp labourer on here reckons you can only class it as work if you get your hands dirty so that isn't graft.

26 miles each way for me. Only takes about 30 minutes down the A1 though thankfully.

It was the same in Norfolk where I used to live, but used to take almost 45-50 minutes then.

I am doing 56 mile round trip at moment, and work for emergency services which arduous work and anti social hours....let's not mention the cost.

How far you travelling for work?

5k there and 6k back (one way systems)

so if i go on a petrochemical plant or gas refinery to carry out a survey is that classed as graft ??

9 mile door to door, takes about 40 minutes on average, can be as little as 15 if the traffic light gods smile down on me, especially during the school holidays.

My last job was a 10 minute walk from my front door, was miserable there though

I quite enjoy a little commute, chance to catch up on podcasts

New garage door came last week. They went to unwrap it and spotted some faults so took it away without trying to fit it. Must be having problems powder coating atm.

It’s no bother, they could have fitted it and said nowt but they were honest about it. Quicker to get that sandblasted and re coated than a new one totally.
