I thought it would be Cook initially as he ticks so many of the boxes we were supposedly looking for. If it is Parkinson it will be interesting to see how he copes with being favourites in the majority of game. He seems to have been doing a decent job at Bolton against the odds - got them promoted on a shoestring , kept them up against the odds etc.

Its a different thing entirely being not only expected to win most games but also to do it in style.

Nothing been mentioned about Cook although James Hunter did say we’d spoken with him.
I don‘t automatically put sparkling entertainment and Phil Parkinson in the same sentence either but if he gets the job I’d back him.

If he got us promoted this season I’d excuse him for the lack of entertainment.

There is no compo involved with a Stendel appointment but I would imagine his wage demands would be higher

I just don't understand some of the comments. I know its all about opinions but : Parky, good proven record , Stendel , one season wonder, Pearson, a lot more fails than successes and Skp, totally unproven.

If the don appoints Phil Parkinson he’s making a massive mistake. We have 5 games in the next 2 weeks and no way this fella will hit the ground running and win 4/5 of these games.

The crowd will turn instantly on him if we get beat in the majority of them games. If we had a poll of the managers being mentioned I’d guarantee he’d finish bottom 2.

We don’t expect Jose but we do expect better than Phil Parkinson. The football he played at Bolton was horrendous. Be gutted with this appointment

Parky could well bore the arse off everyone. If I wanted a 1-0 merchant I would chuck Jack Charlton onto the list. When he was manager at Boro if they were playing in our back garden I would have shut the curtains. At least Pearson would kick a few backsides and with Phillips as No2 we might try and get over the half way line a bit.
