Would agree. It's probably somewhere we need someone with his experience. We may have to compromise slightly on quality but hopefully anyone we bring in will have a bit of nous about him and know the position well.

Most premier league clubs try to have quality backups in every position.

We do need someone who can do that role but will need to be someone who can do other stuff as well as they won't likely want to sit on the bench until Xhaka is out.

I can see it with Rigg, got a good footballing brain.

Diarra is dynamic and has showed glimpses of what he was bought for when he breaks the lines off a one two for example. The injury has wrecked his season and any chance for building momentum.
