O'Nien

A lot of courage from the lad. Tremendous. 9 out of 10 players wouldn’t have comeback from that.

On another note, their player had his foot on/over the 18 yard line when the goal kick was taken, so I’m pretty sure it shouldn’t have counted and should have been retaken.

Maybe one of the resident refs can confirm.

He's a cracking bloke, a role model for young players everywhere, but we simply can't be in a position to have to start him in Premier League games.

People will cite the Leeds game but Alderete was by a million miles the true man of the match that night and Luke should have had a penalty given against him early doors which would have changed the whole game.

He played like any fan would love to have done after a mistake that any of us could make playing Sunday League football.

Love him or hate him as a player, you can't fault him for effort and he's done far more good than bad over the years in a Sunderland shirt.
