We’re 1/3 to be relegated, so you’re right to bite the hands off anyone offering survival.

It’s going to be a very difficult season, but if we stay up this first year then we’ll be light years ahead of the 3 promoted clubs. It’s such a huge season for us.

This. Whilst we all want to be positive, being realistic we aren't signing complete nailed on quality players in all cases. Some have a lot of room for development and are making large steps up. The depth behind that is quite limited too.

I'd love a season where we breeze survival but I do wonder if some are getting a little carried away as we've made what is, for us, bigger signings. Realistically if we're in the dogfight for survival right at the end we'll have done better than most the country and world of football expect.

Totally agree. I think there's a long difficult season ahead like.
 
£10m seems like a low fee (not that I’m complaining). Didn’t somebody share that he was in team of the season last year in la liga?

Anyone know why he’s so cheap?

This is right. He wasn’t, nor was he in the Opta statistically based one. There’s one online source and I think it’s become a bit of an established fact.

Mind that’s not to say that it isn’t a good signing. He’s been playing regularly in a fairly solid midtable La Liga side which is an excellent standard of football.

Yeah it may well be quite a clever signing given his experience of international and top level football in Germany and la liga. Maybe not who we initially wanted buy seems a physical left sided central defender who can handle the ball.

Surely has to be on loan? Difficult to get a move if he keeps picking up serious / long term injuries.

Earlier was watching highlights of last years premier league season. The quality was frightening.we will need more up front.
