Ollie Robinson

Honestly delighted for the lad. Obviously knuckled down, listened, took things on board, and now reaping the rewards.

Undropable on this showing

He was taking 5/66 against Middlesex when gobshites on here and in the cricket media were writing him off as a cricketer. He simply ran out of steam bowling 20+ overs in 40 degree heat on his first overseas tour. England's nomark bowling coach should have been fired for discussing a player's fitness in the press,

Or read the times article, and it pretty much vindicates those views

He wasn’t fit enough and has admitted it

I assume the BBC article today is from the same interview, really well done to Robinson for knuckling down recently. Hopefully this is the first game in a very long run
Yeah credit where credit due, he obviously wasn’t fit enough, but realised that and did something about it, and looks fitter and stronger which can only be good for him and England.

'Only' averaged 25.55 in Australia and planks decided he was shit.
Who said he was shit? Everyone thinks he’s superb and always was. He admitted himself he needed to be fitter and is and is even better as a result. You are a desperately sad individual at times. Your only contribution to the match thread was negative towards anyone who praised our superb batting in the first innings and you never seem to be happy or delighted about anything really choosing to try and point score at any opportunity. What a way to live.

??? IIRC the only thing I said was it was a shame Brook didn't beat the all-time record for a quickest century. Some people have to work.

Some of the crack on here is ridiculous and deserved to be called out, e.g.:"I’m starting to think we may never see him in international cricket again."

It's probably just an amazing coincidence that whenever things aren't going well you can find the time to post
