Oil sump leaking

I had a mark 2 golf gti that I spent a few years trying to kill and eventually the lads decided we should drop the sump and clean it out, I had run it dry of oil a few times- we took the sump off and it was covered in black death.

Cleaned it, new gasket, torqued up and refilled oil but we just restarted the engine - bloody hell I thought it was going to jump out the car.

I sold it to Mill Garage.
