I've never bullied anyone off any board. My opinion was different to yours, simple as that.

Anyway that's enough derailing (and yes i'm to blame as well). Just so you know, i was "attacking you" as you put it because you were acting like a bell end.

Well we're having a discussion about ITK's, it's you lads who've waded in defensively and made this a bigger thing than it needs to be. If 8-9 of you weren't so protective of him and tried to pull up every comment I make, maybe things would move on quicker?

We'd be rid of Donald and Methven which would be canny but I doubt it's going to be any major billionaires with huge plans to storm the PL or owt or they'd be buying the whole club. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised but at least it means I'm not spending my whole summer refreshing like I was in previous years!

That was MSD. FPP was a seperate company made up of 3 people who worked for MSD (easy enough to cause confusion)

There’s too many people trying to be precious about whatever it is that’s happening at our club right now and whilst some of the so called ITK’s say they just want to find out info so that they can inform fellow supporters, the truth is they are looking also to massage their own ego’s, that’s quite clear.

They should remember that if they did know any names etc and released them into the public arena they could potentially scupper any deal that is currently being negotiated.

The fact that the 3 directors of FPP worked for MSD says a lot though.

My opinion is that they first came in thinking 'wow', and were less and less impressed as they went along. It was clearly going to cost a massive amount of money, time and effort, and there was a decent chance that they or their chosen CEO could still fuck it up enough to not make it back to the Premier League. Donald being an obvious grifter probably cemented their concerns, since what he was allegedly asking for in the event of promotions wasn't actually crazy if they believed in buying us, certainly it would have been a negotiation, rather than just walking away.

And it seems like the tail end of that process was where they figured out that the business model of every EFL and some PL clubs was based so heavily on debt finance - some of which was being wound down by the providers - that there may be an opportunity to make a reasonable ROI lending to these clubs like Derby, Saints etc.

I also suspect the real driver of wanting to actually own us was not actually Furhman, but Platek.

He has gone on to personally buy majority stakes in Nordsjaelland, Spezia and a small Portuguese D2 club, which indicates this is something he is serious about. They were all less risky deals, and I wonder if he just couldn't convince Phelan and Furhman to get on board with a super high risk/ super high reward model, so they ended up doing the debt finance model via MSD, and he took the more hands on approach.
 
If it is anything clearly Blackrock related, the club will start to get a lot of attention from proper conspiracy wingnut QAnon-types. These days will seem like nothing compared to if that happens.
