Not saying that's a bad thing but it means if it's someone linked to him I'm not going to be getting overexcited about investment. If it's someone who isn't linked to him I don't expect anyone with major money and plans would want 39% and no control. I'll be delighted to be rid of Donald and Methven regardless, and hopefully it'll allow KLD to be a bit more ambitious, but can't imagine this being any sort of a game changing move. I'd love to be wrong mind!

Apparently it’s NOT someone close to KLD.

Makes it very interesting. Big couple of weeks hopefully.
 
Hmm, Wheatsheaf was not one of the attention-seeking ITK's who pass on every shite rumour - I think he has a contact who is high level enough to have an idea of things like timescales, but not high level enough to know who it is.

Basically, I think that timescale is probably fairly solid given his track record, when we first heard, and when we know they started looking at an investment. But also remember KLD overran by a month from the deadline he was first told, so it's no massive drama if it's not dead on 10 days.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see who it is. Like I say I'm fairly relaxed about it this time. We'd be rid of Donald and Methven which would be canny but I doubt it's going to be any major billionaires with huge plans to storm the PL or owt or they'd be buying the whole club. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised but at least it means I'm not spending my whole summer refreshing like I was in previous years!

Ah, I only had a quick glance over there during the Keane saga. Fair enough, but he made some solid posts that were not just the standard 'tell everyone what they want to hear' types during KLD's investment.
 
People get far too wound up by who's itk and not. Bob, prehab, Dennis and Reiv etc, I think they do hear bits and pieces and try to pass info on. If people then take this as gospel and get fixated on it, then thats down to them. In business and life, things change all the time. Personally I like to hear what they say, but until things are confirmed then won't get overly carried away 1 way or the other. Without them adding on here what they've heard, then what else have we got to talk about?

It was that Reiv who was completely fixated and took what he'd been shown as 100% gospel and then proceeded to absolutely slate anyone who dared to challenge his belief. He was the most wound up anyone has ever been on here. He simply couldn't accept being wrong. The end result being a total meltdown and a lifetime ban. So sometimes the so called ITK's are actually the perfect distillation of the very things you're levelling at other "people".
