I didn’t mean everyone who has two accounts, I’d just noticed a few usernames on there who didn’t post here anymore.

In response to other points, I have no unshakeable agenda on anything discussed on here. And it’s hard to provide an opinion on rumours without names and details. If I was to ask ‘what do you make of these takeover rumours?’, I’m assuming you’d respond with ‘who’s rumoured to be taking over?’. If my response was to be ‘I don’t know’ to your question, presumably you wouldn’t able to express much of opinion on it.

In terms of the overall situation, we’ve been here before in the past. Little bits of info leaked to people and then whole stories taking off. German buyers, Spanish consortium, that crackerjack who went to Falkirk, Dell, FPP, KLD takeover…. it’s been an annual thing for five years. We’ve had ITKs, Roker Report and A Love Supreme all throwing their lot in with these stories of takeovers. Forgive me if I remain skeptical; particularly when the rumours circulating have the least amount of detail of any of the rumours to date.

And considering this rumour has grown from texts from Methven, why on earth would we believe him THIS time? We've been down this road a number of times before - and it isn't like Twit and Twat don't benefit from a bit of confusion along the way. Until we start to get something more concrete - or from a source that is actually trustworthy - it's entirely reasonable to maintain skepticism. And that isn't gonna change with a load of daft dancing emojis or vague 'get excited' posts tbh.
 
How have rich energy have managed to talk their way into sponsoring OMG racing and one of the british touring cars team, is storey actually an employee of rich energy. As for the takeover, is it legit or loada shit?

In summary, an ITK on another forum understands that the club / part of the club has been sold to an unnamed party. But that it’s exciting and transformative. Another poster on here, who is credible and less titillating than the other person, acknowledges that Donald and Methven are referring to Sunderland in past tense terms.

No-one is claiming to know who the party taking over is though RR have written a profile of John Reece the Sunderland born Ineos director but others seem to think that’s unlikely.

Chuck in a bit of inter-forum hostility, accusations of conspiracy and some subject deviations and it has the all hallmarks of every takeover thread since 2017.
