ODI World Cup


I understand we'd only been in India about a week before the tournament began which is not nearly enough time.

Combine that with the first team fobbing off the ODI series with Ireland it feels like we weren't well prepared at all which is why we probably saw some bad tactical decision making and play in the first few games and why we've improved in the last couple.

As Roy Keane would say, fail to prepare then you'd best prepare to fail.

Biggest issue was 37 hours and 3 flights all over India and then having a washout in the practice game

I wonder if they're flying out to India for the Test series first week in January to prepare for three weeks before the first Test. I'm willing to bet my membership on here that they don't, and instead just turn up in Hyderabad the week before
